Please watch this video. CPR techniques have changed recently to make it easier for untrained people to save their friend's lives. The worst case scenario is someone dropping with a heart attack out on the back nine with his three playing partners arguing about technique or worse, doing nothing.
Remember – start with heart compression and know that its 30 heart compressions, then two breaths ... then keep going at that ratio until help comes. On the golf course one of you should do the heart compression (at a pace of 100 compressions per minute), while another waits to do the two breaths on the count of 30. The third player should stay on the cellphone to communicate with the emergency operator.
Use cell phone to call 111 at first sign of the heart attack. If you haven't got a cellphone in your four put the word out across the course. It's the one time you'll be thankful someone has a cellphone in their bag!
Swap around if the person doing the heart compressions tires.
Continue giving CPR until one of the following occurs:
